As a proud member of the San Diego County Special Olympics bowling team, I compete in tournaments year-round and represent my community with pride. Bowling has helped me build confidence, leadership, and teamwork both on and off the lanes. More than anything, it’s given me the chance to encourage others to step up, compete, and be part of a supportive community where every athlete can grow and succeed.
Bowling is one of the fastest-growing sports in Special Olympics Southern California, bringing together athletes of all abilities through competition, teamwork, and community. Through year-round training and tournaments, athletes build confidence, stay active, form lasting friendships, and experience the joy of competing together. While some accommodations are available, most athletes compete under the same rules and standards as professional bowling—showcasing the dedication, talent, and spirit that make the sport so powerful.
